The person should do at least an two hours and a half worth of moderate intensity aerobic activities in a week. This target can be achieved by cycling or other similar activities at least thirty minutes, five days a week.

Smoking should be given up. This is because smoking is a major cause of coronary heart diseases. The individual will have to give up smoking so that the risk for acquiring the illness will be significantly lowered in the entire year after the individual has stopped smoking. The risk is significantly lowered compared to a smoker.

The person's weight is very important as well. That is why it is only natural for the person to consider the weight that the person should have when dealing with one's health. Being overweight will cause the person to suffer from coronary heart diseases. To achieve the best weight, a well-balanced diet with fruits and vegetables is necessary. Physical activities should be done too.

Salt is not easy to eliminate in one's diet since this is what puts flavor in one's meals. However, the individual should either significantly lower the amount of salt intake one goes through on a daily basis or just eliminate it completely. If the individual can avoid high salt content, it will just cause some risks for one's blood pressure.

If possible, the person should remember to eat at least five portions of vegetables and fruits on a day to day basis. For those who love eating cereals for breakfast, it is for the best to add dried fruit to it. Another one is to add vegetable to the curry or the pasta sauce to achieve better nutrition.

Remember to eat fish too. Eating oily fishes twice a week should be good for the body. The oily fishes are considered to be excellent sources of Omega-3. This will certainly help protect the heart from heart diseases. The best examples of the oily fishes to eat are sardines, salmon, mackerel, and fresh tuna.

Getting stressed is not uncommon. That is why the individual should eliminate stress by walking. Taking a walk should help people clear their minds. They can get their thoughts in order when they take a walk. They should be able to eliminate the tension that they are feeling with this too.

Alcohol is not really that good to one's body. If the person wants to maintain the proper weight, it is only appropriate to lessen or eliminate the intake of alcohol. Do not add it to one's diet, even if it is just a few drops. The person will gain a significant amount of fats if one does this.

The label of the food has to be considered as well. This means that one should look at the label on the food packets when the person is shopping. It is necessary to see what the said products contain. This way, the person can understand the type of food which will help with making healthier choices for better cardiac care.
