Is It Possible To Reverse MS

By Marcie Goodman

There are many chronic diseases that lurk, and multiple sclerosis is just one of them. This particular one arises after there is damage to the myelin, which can be directly caused by an autoimmune disease. Numerous symptoms are associated with this, like vision problems, muscle loss, loss of coordination, and even tremors. People can suffer from acute attacks, or the disease can progress slowly and steadily, but sufferers can also experienced remission. Below, learn how to successfully reverse MS.

One of the key elements in the reversal of multiple sclerosis is nutrition, as research has shown. That's because the mitochondria requires nutrients. The mitochondria are responsible for supplying energy to the cells, but in order to do this they need the right nutrients. The three top nutrients necessary include omega-3 fats, creatine, and coenzyme Q10.

Certain B vitamins, sulfer, and iodine are also necessary to not only slow the disease, but also to help the individual improve. Enter the Paleo Diet, which is completely different from the common Western diet that's loaded with ingredients that are certain to lead to chronic diseases. The problem with most people is that they don't get the real nutrients in their diet, and they get too much of all the bad ingredients that are harmful.

Therefore, it requires an increased intake of vegetables that contains sulfur, bright colored fruits and vegetables that contain numerous anti-oxidants, and lots of greens. The diet also requires an increase in the consumption of wild fish, as well as grass fed meat. Avoid regular meat found in grocery stores, however. Also, add seaweed to the diet, which will provide the body with the necessary selenium and iodine it requires.

Unfortunately for some people, it also requires putting an end to eating any processed foods. In addition to processed foods, grains, corn, and potatoes should be avoided altogether. Moreover, few people are getting the right amount of vitamin D, and vitamin D deficiency is extremely common these days. Therefore, get more sun exposure, use tanning beds, and/or take vitamin D supplements.

Some more things to avoid include this artificial sweeteners and aspartame. These are extremely toxic, and are directly related to chronic neurological disorders. Aspartame is known to kill the brain neurons, which is the complete opposite of what antioxidants do. Antioxidants are crucial for optimum brain health.

It's obvious that there are serious lifestyle changes that are required to actually reverse the condition. People have to start eating the way people ate in the past, with limited amounts of sugar, removing fructose from the diet, avoiding pasteurized cow's milk, as well as unhealthy packaged fruit juices. Instead, people should eat raw fruits and vegetables to get the most nutrients out of them, but also fermented vegetables which are extremely important to good health.

A Mercury detox would also prove beneficial in the quest to reverse MS. As is common knowledge, Mercury is a poison, and especially damaging to anyone suffering from this chronic disease. Having said that, large fish are known to contain high levels of mercury, so they should be avoided.
